Design objective

To create a beautiful garden to harmonise with the period style home, styled with rooms of formality, and an informal naturalistic wild meadow and fruit orchard, separated by a naturally filtered bio pool to provide fun for the grand children's summer visits.

Project build phase

The first phase, the messy stage, as usual, especially with a winter build. The pool is excavated within its sunken garden, the pool pipework, lighting cables and irrigation pipes are all installed within the earthy phase. Then the project takes shape, the shell of the pool is formed, the terrace and path bases are laid, then the topsoil is conditioned and placed into the new softscape areas.

This one was planted before the lawns were laid and our project managers wanted to avoid damage to the lawns from the larger tree planting, then the meadow's wild flowers and long whisphy grasses were sown and the garden was ready for our clients to enjoy and the sharper spring mornings slowly warmed into the oncoming summer.
